Therapy for Seniors
It’s difficult to think about aging and death in our society, and there are many transitions that impact you, your partner, and your family, including retirement, loss of a spouse, moving into assisted living, a health crisis, a new clinical diagnosis, or uncertainty over how to understand and approach any of these changes. Together we can create a safe space to discuss things that feel too frightening or taboo to think about on your own. I welcome LGBTQ+ seniors or couples, and I’m happy to meet with your family members if you’d like help communicating with them.
“I’d like a poster showing two old people with stooped backs and arthritic hands and time-worn faces sitting talking, deep, deep in conversation. And the slogan would be ‘Old Age Is Not for the Young’.”
-Ursula Le Guin, No Time to Spare
